Hamburg, den 9. September 2019 – segmenta communications has reinforced itself with UMPR’s communications experts. The takeover further expands the owner-managed agency’s competences in the corporate communications area, and supplements its range of services in the food sector. Furthermore, segmenta has enlarged its sector experience by adding logistics, finances, chemicals and consumer goods.
As explained by Nico Ziegler, owner and managing director of segmenta communications: “UMPR has a well-functioning, extremely competent team with strong consultancy skills. The takeover is a consistent continuation of segmenta’s growth strategy. The Hamburger agency is committed both to organic growth – continuous enlargement of its existing and new client base by adding fields of competence such as Social Media, Digital Marketing and Creation – and by acquisitions, having already taken over Heine PR in 2016. segmenta expects organic growth in the double-digit percent region in 2019.
After a successful career in the free economy, Ute Middelmann founded UMPR in 1992. With the takeover by segmenta, she now withdraws from operational business, but is still available to the agency in an advisory role. Ute Middelmann says “After more than 25 years in the agency business, I am grateful for the trusting, long-term collaboration with our clients and with my staff. UMPR’s clients include Birkel, Nordzucker, hella Mineralbrunnen, Fürst Bismarck, BASF and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. The 12-member team assists its clients mainly in the areas of corporate and brand communications, together with sustainability/corporate social responsibility, positioning, crisis management, employer branding and change management.
